Adult Guardianship and Conservatorship - Sometimes an elderly family member can no longer care for himself (or herself) or safely manage his finances, and it becomes necessary to seek a guardianship and/or conservatorship to protect him.  Conversely, sometimes a family member simply decides – for motives of greed or arrogance – that he can do a better job of managing an elderly relative’s life and finances than the elderly individual himself, and seeks control of the elderly person’s decisionmaking and finances.  I can assist individuals and families in litigating these matters and in devising alternatives to guardianship.
